About the Event
Join NBSBC's second Community of Practice - Programming in Diverse Communities! We will be discussing conservation programs and projects with the lense of thinking about communities that experience barriers in BC. We will have space to discuss how programming can serve and impact diverse communities. We will hear about engagement barriers that exist, and how programs can be thoughtful in welcoming and empowering participation in pollinator programs and projects. NBSBC members Christine Turing from Protect The Planet will tell of her experience in allyship work with Indigenous communities. Marika Van Reewyk from Environmental Youth Alliance will offer program strategies for communication and engagement with barriered youth in Vancouver.
